Samantha Alvarez

ND, MS

Samantha Alvarez earned a Master’s degree in nursing in 2009, and worked as a Family NP in an underserved community of Arizona from 2010 to 2017. She then left medicine for a season to heal her own healthcare burnout. She missed patient care too much to stay away, though, and accepted an orthopedic position in her native Wisconsin.

In April 2020, Samantha leapt into the mouth of the dragon - she joined the COVID-19 Pandemic Disaster Relief NP Strike Team in New York City. She worked in Emergency Rooms and Intensive Care Units throughout the following several years in Vermont, Texas and New York.

Samantha adores travel, singing, mindfulness, culture and learning new things, especially languages. She can converse in half a dozen or so languages at any given time. She currently lives in the Caribbean country of Grenada, where she studies medicine and healing.
