An Ayahuasca Retreat in Costa Rica is a guided experience where participants consume Ayahuasca, a plant medicine, under the supervision of experienced practitioners. These retreats aim to provide in-depth healing in a safe, supportive environment, often led by indigenous Peruvian Shipibo healers.
Attending an Ayahuasca Retreat in Costa Rica involves participating in ceremonial sessions where you will consciously consume the sacred Ayahuasca brew. The retreat includes group integration, therapy sessions, and personal time for reflection. The aim is to provide a safe space for healing and spiritual growth..
When taken in a safe and supportive environment with trained facilitators, Ayahuasca is generally safe for healthy individuals. At Behold Retreats, we provide medical screening, experienced facilitators, and integration support to ensure safety and comfort.
Most retreats last 7–10 days, giving participants enough time to attend multiple ceremonies, rest, and process their experiences with integration support.
No prior experience is needed. In fact, more of our guests join with no prior experience in plant medicine. Our team provides preparation guidance before the retreat, and experienced facilitators support you throughout the journey. The retreat was perfectly organized; all events and activities flowed naturally, and progressively from one to the next, preparing us for the ceremony, and especially what would come after.

The setting at Resonance Costa Rica is ideal with access to the beauty of Nature and luxury. The small group size I experienced (9 participants) enabled me to connect with each one of them and not be overwhelmed by everybody's energy during ceremonies.
I loved everything, the facilitators were great and the medicine was transformative. One thing is I wish I would have packed more warm clothes though.
